GMI's training is intended to produce higly skilled technicians or technologist who are able to solve problems in a complex working environment today where rapid change in technology is a constant. This is one of the characteristics required to be a K-worker (Knowledge Worker).
They must be capable to work in teams and cooperate with other (skilled and unskilled) co-workers. GMI training will thus produce competent employees. This competence involves three basic elements that will be inculcated during the training programs, namely:
GMI's training approaches enhance skills training in an industrial environment and help promote occupational competence. It is part of GMI's philosophy that knowledge does not stand for itself as academic subjects often do; but than it should be directly linked towards the inclination of the tasks at the workplace. GMI graduates are thus practice-oriented with capability to adapt to new technologies. |
