Student Affairs Section, through the Counseling Unit, assists students by providing career guidance as early as their first week in GMI. The career guidance is embedded in their Orientation Program to provide students with the sense of security over their career choice. Further guidance is done through Industrial visits and seminars. We also provide guidance through workshops for the students to present themselves in the most acceptable manner in terms of resume writing skills and attending interview session.

For those who desire to further their studies, the unit also provides further studies consultation. There are existing collaborations with local and overseas universities on credit transfers and special arrangement for GMI students who opt to further their studies.

Job Placement / Recruitment Drive

Our graduates’ employability record shows a positive and consistent achievement over the years. The Counseling Unit will arrange a number of recruitment drives via request by industrial companies from all over the country as well as international companies for the final semester students. This is done prior to the completion of studies and even the convocation ceremony.
We assist our students as well as graduates by :

• Coordinating on-campus recruitment interviews

• Assisting companies in search of employees through information supply
