Training Approach and Outcome

With a strong foothold in its training philosophy, learning at GMI is further enhanced by its emphasis on the training approach which is underlined by our emphasis on the interest of the trainees.  At GMI, the learner-centred training approach is evident through the implementation of the Problem-Project-Production Based Learning (Pro3BL) training concept.  This concept provides a learning environment which is conducive and undertakes the role of bridging the training programmes at the institute to the targeted learning outcomes.

The close link to the German education system allows the training concept to be implemented smoothly and effectively.  The efficient integration of the practical and theoretical aspects across the modules emulates industrial environment for trouble-free assimilation of graduates into the world of work.

In addition, the training approach also encourages multitude competence development which runs through the training programmes.  The perfect combination of practical and theoretical elements prepares trainees for corresponding project works, and consequently the application of various skills and knowledge through the assessment of Final Year Projects.  Trainees are subsequently assessed through the application of their specialization training as they experience broad-based and multi-skill training.

With the attainment of the multitude competency, graduates of GMI are an exceptional breed of k-workers – they are more than ordinary employable graduates; they are enterprising and versatile.  In fact the training does more than provide relevant skills and knowledge, it turns them into lifelong learners and ever ready for the world of work.
