Programme Brief

This programme provides knowledge and hands-on skills for designing,building, operating and enhancing sustainable energy systems that combine energy generation, distribution and utilization that caters to the demands of technologies in green energy and electrical power for applications and services in buildings, industry and transportation.

The student will acquire the skills in installation, testing & commissioning, and maintenance to ensure systems safety, reliability and efficiency for renewable energy technologies, particularly solar and wind power, which are the fastest growing sources of electricity besides geothermal and biomass systems.

The requirements for certifying the distributed renewable energy systems will also be emphasized to ensure that the graduate is  prepared for system installer certification which is required by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA).

At the end of this programme, students will be able to:
