Visit and Roundtable Discussion with the German Solution Providers at GMI

04 July 2024, Kajang – German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) hosted a delegation of esteemed German solution providers specializing in the education and training industry.  This event, co-hosted by GMI in collaboration with the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MGCC), was part of MGCC’s strategic initiative to facilitate a business initiation trip for German solution providers to Malaysia, with a focused emphasis on the Education & Training Industry.  Supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, this Market Development Project aimed to showcase Germany’s leading expertise in education and training solutions.

The German education and training system stands out globally for its exceptional quality and comprehensive opportunities for professional development across various sectors.  The dual education system, akin to Malaysia’s TVET framework, emphasizes a balanced approach to theoretical knowledge and practical skills, fostering highly skilled professionals prepared for the demands of the global workforce.

The event encompassed a robust Conference and Business Matching Event from 3rd to 4th July 2024 at Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur, where German and Malaysian stakeholders engaged in presentations, knowledge sharing sessions, and individual business meetings.  This platform provided an invaluable opportunity for stakeholders from both nations to explore collaborative ventures and exchange insights into advancing educational standards and methodologies.
