Course Overview
- Duration:5 Days
- Certificate of attendance will be issued to those who fulfill 80% of attendance.
The course will be presented in an informal and flexible style. Interaction will be encouraged to ensure that the course proceeds at the pace and depth appropriate to the audience.
Participants will be exposed to necessary tools to ensure the well being of the Linux system. Lab sessions include the installation, troubleshooting, backup and recovery and administrative maintenance of a Linux server machine. PCs will be available for participants to perform experiments. |
Course Objectives
- Perform system administration tasks including adding and deleting users, adding devices, portioning the disk, and other administrative functions.
- Use the administrator files and commands in the I etc directory.
- Manage disk space and file system
- Carry out startup and shutdown procedures.
- Monitor system performance
- Establish and maintain network connectivity
