Course Overview

- Certificate of attendance will be issued to those who fulfill 80% of attendance. Minimum participants: 6
This course introduces basic programming and configuration of SIEMENS programmable logic controller (PLC) S7-1200.
Participants will be exposed with typical architecture of PLC S7-1200 and how it works. Ladder diagram will be used as the programming language.
Some basic Boolean logic operations cover in this course are AND, OR, EXOR and timer operations. At the end of the course, participant’s programming skills will be tested on real industrial application.
Course Objectives
- Explain the hardware element of SIEMENS PLC S7-1200 and software element of TIA Portal
- Connect the input and output devices to PLC S7-1200 and configure its addresses
- Write and test the ladder diagram for any given basic problem description
- Troubleshoot basic PLC S7-1200 hardware with the assistance of TIA Portal
