Kuala Lumpur, 30 June 2026 – The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) has achieved remarkable recognition at the prestigious Hari Anugerah Pendidik MARA 2026, securing two major honours that underscore its commitment to educational excellence.
GMI’s Electrical Engineering Department (EED) received the Best MARA Educational Institution Award (IPMa), whilst Ts. Intan Nadiah binti Abdul Hakim, a lecturer from Computer & Information Department (CID), was presented with the Outstanding MARA Educator Award.



A Celebration of Educational Excellence
The awards ceremony, held at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Premiera in Kuala Lumpur, brought together distinguished figures from across Malaysia’s educational landscape. This year’s event, themed “Guru Bitara, Nadi Negara” was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Wira Dr. Asyraf Wajdi bin Dato’ Dusuki; Chairman of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA).

Senior officials in attendance included YBhg. Datuk Zulfikri bin Osman; Director-General of MARA, YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Roslan bin Mahmood; Deputy Secretary-General (Development) of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), and Ms Ajar @ Siti Ajar binti Yasin; MARA Council Member. The event also drew management teams from MARA and its subsidiaries, alongside staff from various MARA educational institutions.
