Diploma of Electronics Engineering Technology (Computer)
Equips students with a profound knowledge and skills of electronic circuits and systems knowledge of telecommunications and computer controlled systems needed to meet the 21 st century industrial demands . The student will be able to design and build electronic and computer based systems and thus, preparing them for work in the high-tech industry. Students will acquire more in-depth knowledge and practical application of microprocessor, interface design, micro controller systems, local area network, radio frequency (RF), telecommunication system, data communications system and network administration. In addition, the programme also integrates communicative and thinking skills, project management, entrepreneurship, learning and interpersonal skills so that the students are prepared to face the rapid changes of IT technology.

PLO 1 Knowledge:
Apply knowledge of applied mathematics, applied science, computing and engineering fundamentals in communication, embedded system and electronics engineering to wide practical procedures and practices
PLO 2 Problem analysis:
Identify and analyse well-defined communication, embedded system and electronics engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using codified methods of analysis specific to their field of activity
PLO 3 Design/development of solution:
Design solutions for well-defined communication, embedded system and electronics engineering technical problems and assist with the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, as well as cultural, societal, and environmental considerations as required
PLO 4 Investigation:
Conduct investigations of well-defined problems; locate and search relevant codes and catalogues, conduct standard tests and measurements
PLO 5 Tool usage:
Apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering, computing and IT tools to well-defined communication, embedded system and electronics engineering problems, with an awareness of the limitations
PLO 6 The Engineering Technician and The World:
Consider sustainable development impacts to society, the economy, sustainability, health and safety, legal frameworks, and the environment, in solving well-defined engineering problems
PLO 7 Ethics:
Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and
norms of technician practice and including compliance with national and international laws. Demonstrate an understanding of need for diversity and
