Sustainable Energy & Power Distribution

This programme provides knowledge and hands-on skills for designing, installing, operating and enhancing sustainable energy systems that combine energy generation, distribution and utilization that caters to the demands of technologies in green energy and electrical power for application and services in building, industry and transportation. The student will acquire the skills in installation, testing & commissioning, and maintenance to ensure system safety, reliability and efficiency for renewable energy technologies, particularly, solar and wind power, which are the fastest growing sources of electricity besides geothermal and biomass systems. The requirements for certifying the distributed renewable energy systems will also be emphasized to ensure that the graduate is prepared for system installer certification which is require by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA).
