89% Students Prove GMI’s Standard of Excellence

Kajang, 28 July 2026 – The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) celebrated 89% of students with a CGPA of 3.00 and above at its July to December 2026 Student Assembly. Impressively, the overall academic performance for January to June 2026 reveals:

  • 89% of students scored CGPA 3.00 and above
  • 49% scored CGPA 3.50 and above
  • Over 13% scored CGPA 3.80 and above

These figures reflect the institute’s consistent track record of producing high-achieving and hands-on graduates. 

Held at Feisol Hassan-Halle, the assembly marked the official start of the new academic session and served as a platform to honour outstanding achievements across academic and co-curricular excellence. 

Celebrating Academic Excellence

Among the awardees, one name stood out. 

Ain Nur Aida binti Khairul Anuar from the Diploma in Software Engineering programme completed her sixth and final semester with a perfect CGPA of 4.00. She maintained this record throughout her three years of studies at GMI. Her achievement exemplifies the highest standard of academic consistency and serves as an inspiration to current and future students. 

Outstanding academic performance! Ain Nur Aida achieved CGPA 4.00 throughout her 3 years of studies.

The institute also celebrates students who maintained a perfect CGPA of 4.00 for two or more consecutive semesters. 

Co-curricular Excellence

Beyond academic achievements, GMI’s commitment to quality education is reflected across the entire student body. GMI students also brought home medals and recognition from national and international co-curricular competitions. These achievements further demonstrate GMI’s commitment to holistic development, preparing students who excel not only academically but also well-rounded individuals.

GMI also recognised staff and academicians whose teaching and support made these results possible. These individuals play a crucial role in shaping GMI’s learning environment. Their dedication to student development ensures that graduates leave the institute not only with technical skills but also with confidence to succeed in competitive industries.  

GMI remains committed to providing students with a transformative educational experience that combines German-engineered technical programmes with practical industry exposure.     – This contest is open to secondary school students born between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2009.
    – Participants must follow at least one of the official social media accounts of the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) to be eligible (Facebook, Instagram or Tiktok).
  2. Contest Participation
    – To enter the contest, participants must complete the quiz and submit their answers as instructed.
    – Participants are encouraged to create a unique and creative tagline related to GMI to increase their chances of winning.
  3. Agreement to Terms
    – By entering the contest, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
    – Participants must ensure that their submissions comply with all guidelines provided.
  4. Prizes
    – Details of the prizes will be announced at the start of the contest.
    – Winners will be selected based on the accuracy of their quiz answers and creativity of their tagline.
  5. Selection of Winners
    – Winners will be notified through the social media platform where they entered the contest.
    – The decision of the contest organizers is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. Privacy
    – Personal information collected during the contest will be used for the purpose of this contest and promotional activities and will be kept confidential.
  7. Liability
    The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms and conditions or engages in any fraudulent activity.
  8. Modification of Terms
    The organizers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes through the official GMI social media accounts.
  9. Acceptance
    By participating in the contest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
