Kajang, 22 January 2026 – The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) has reaffirmed its commitment to international technical education by hosting a dedicated 24 students and 4 teachers from Busan National Mechanical Technical High School (BMTHS), South Korea, for a 10-day specialised workshop. The programme, focused on English Communication Skills Workshop via Project-Based Learning methodologies, marks the 10th anniversary of this impactful edutourism collaboration.

This milestone celebrates a successful partnership which began in 2016 and has since provided 324 BMTHS students with immersive, practical workshop, and cultural exchange opportunities in Malaysia.
Transcending Conventional Classroom Learning
This workshop’s design actively moves beyond traditional teaching methods. Through hands-on, project-based learning, participants apply their English communication skills directly to realistic scenarios. The programme emphasises collaborative teamwork, practical problem-solving, and the confident presentation of ideas, ensuring students gain direct experience in using language as a professional tool.
Beyond the classroom, participants visited key cultural and historical landmarks in Melaka, Putrajaya, and Kuala Lumpur, creating a comprehensive programme that blended learning with cultural immersion.
