On July 11, 2024, GMI organized a collaborative cyber security program with SMK Bandar Damai Perdana Balakong Cheras. A total of 48 participants took part in the program and it was divided into two groups:
- SMK Bandar Damai Perdana Balakong Cheras:
– 36 Students of SMK Bandar Damai Perdana Balakong Cheras
– 4 Teachers - German Malaysian Institute:
– 6 GMI Students
– 2 Technical Trainer Officers
The primary goals of the Cyber Security program for secondary schools were to enhance awareness of the educational opportunities offered by the German Malaysian Institute (GMI) among secondary school students through:
- Interactive cyber security activities.
- Cultivate interest in technology and STEM fields by demonstrating the practical applications and excitement of Cyber Security through hands-on experiences.
The activities included:
- Learning how to hack cars with Can-Utils and ICSim (CAN Injection)
- Configuring wireless routers, wireless security, and password hacking.
It is our hope that this program will expose students to cyber security programs and indirectly contribute to an increase in GMI’s marketing efforts.
Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you again.
