Kajang, 8 November 2025 – The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) proudly conferred diplomas upon 446 graduates during its 31st Convocation Ceremony. The ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of graduates across four key disciplines: 224 from the Computer & Information Department, 142 from the Electrical Engineering Department, 75 from the Mechanical Engineering Department, and 5 from the German Dual Vocational Training programme.
The event welcomed the Guest of Honour, Ms. Ulrike Wolf, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Malaysia, who attended on behalf of Her Excellency Silke Riecken-Daerr, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Malaysia.

A gathering of distinguished guests from pivotal institutions and industries underscored the robust partnerships central to GMI’s mission. Attendees included:

In his address, Tuan Haji Ahmad Solihin bin Mohamed Yusoff, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of GMI, stated, “At the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI), Education goes beyond facts. We shape minds that think with artistry, and hands that work with mastery. This is the soul of Applied Science, and all else becomes technology”.
