Kajang, 24 March 2025 – The Program Ramadan MADANI YAPEIM 2025, a nationwide initiative supporting underprivileged students organized by Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia (YAPEIM), made its latest stop at the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI). The event provided financial aid and hosted a festive breaking-fast gathering for hundreds of beneficiaries.
YAPEIM allocated RM45,000 to assist 300 students from primary schools, secondary schools, and higher education institutions through its YAPEIM Didik aid scheme, granting RM100 to each recipient. The programme also served a communal breaking-fast meal to 400 GMI students and staff members, strengthening bonds during this holy month.

The ceremony welcomed distinguished GMI attendees including Ts. Fahrul Rizal bin A. Halim, Deputy Managing Director of Academic and Operations, Ts. Dr. Muhamad Farid bin Daud, Deputy Managing Director of Corporate Services, and other members of GMI’s management team.
This marked the programme’s 19th successful implementation across Malaysia, demonstrating the government’s ongoing commitment to education and social welfare through the MADANI framework. May this initiative bring both practical relief and spiritual joy to all recipients throughout this blessed Ramadan. As an institution, GMI remains committed to supporting such noble causes that align with our values of compassion and community development.
