GMI Integrity Strengthening Programme 2026 Draws MACC, MARA Experts to Drive Ethical Culture

Kajang, 5 August 2026 – Integrity took centre stage at the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) today as 150 staff members participated in the Integrity Strengthening Programme 2026, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) lent their expertise to the event, with senior integrity officers delivering practical insights on upholding ethical standards in daily operations and institutional decision-making.

MACC Shares Frontline Perspectives

PKPj Mohd Shukri bin Mohd Said, Deputy Director (Secretariat) from MACC’s Agency Integrity Management Division (BPIA), joined PKPj Shuhaimi bin Man, Head of MARA’s Integrity Unit, in an Integrity Awareness Sharing Session that bridged national governance expectations with on-the-ground institutional practice.

Their presentations equipped GMI staff with actionable frameworks for identifying integrity risks and strengthening internal controls, knowledge directly transferable to the institute’s academic and administrative functions.

Leadership Sets the Tone

Tuan Haji Ahmad Solihin bin Mohamed Yusoff, GMI’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, flagged off the Integrity Race, demonstrating that ethical leadership begins at the top. The race, which engaged all 150 participating staff members, symbolised the collective effort required to embed integrity across every level of the organisation.
