The GMI Counseling Unit organized the GMI Mental Health Day 2024 with the theme “Healthy Mind, Healthy Life: Prioritize Mental Well-Being!” The event was officiated by the Chief Executive Officer, Tn. Hj. Ahmad Solihin bin Muhamed Yusoff, and the Registrar, Ms. Aini binti Arshad, was also in attendance.
Held at the GMI Auditorium, the event featured three expert speakers:
- Dr. Fakrul Azren bin Azhar, a Medical Officer in the Psychiatry Department at Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah, Muar, Johor, who discussed “It’s Okay Not To Be Okay.”
- Dr. Norizah binti Hj. Ibrahim, a Medical Officer for the Hulu Langat District, who spoke on “Jom Cakna HIV dan AIDS: Bersama Kita Lindung.”
- Mr. Rahmat Fitri bin Abdullah, a former Royal Malaysia Police & Anti-Scam Ambassador, who presented on “Protect Yourself: Scammers Are Everywhere!”
Various activities were held at the GMI KT1 Foyer for visitors, including Mental Health Screening, HIV Screening, a Doodle Art Competition, a Mental Health Exhibition, and a Meet & Greet with Counsellors and Peer Counsellors.
