Kuala Lumpur, 25 February 2025 – The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) proudly participated in the ASEAN Universities Exhibition and Forum 2025 (AEF2025), held from 24 to 25 February 2025 at the Sunway Resort Hotel. Organized in conjunction with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025, the event brought together over 90 ASEAN institutions to foster networking, idea exchange, and strategic partnerships.

GMI, led by its CEO, Tuan Haji Ahmad Solihin bin Mohamed Yusoff, hosted a forum titled “Leveraging the Abundance of ASEAN Skilled Workforce for Industry 5.0 Through TVET”. The forum emphasized the critical role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in developing a skilled workforce for the region, aligning with the event’s goal of advancing education and innovation.

As a premier TVET institution, GMI showcased its innovative programmes and commitment to advancing TVET education during the exhibition. Its participation reinforced GMI’s dedication to promoting TVET initiatives and solidified its position as a key player in shaping the future of education and workforce development in ASEAN.
