Kajang, 13 August 2025 – A powerful message against corruption resonated through the auditorium of the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) during the recent Integrity Strengthening Programme 2025. Organised in collaboration with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Selangor State Office, the event carried the compelling theme, “Menjunjung Integriti, Menolak Rasuah: Amanah Warga Kerja IPT”, blending institutional policy with creative activism to combat corruption.

The programme’s highlight was the interesting sketch “Harga Sebuah Kejujuran”, a collaborative production by Angkatan Mahasiswa Anti Rasuah, Cultural Club, and Legarians GMI. This stirring performance used dramatic storytelling to reveal the devastating consequences of ethical compromises in educational settings, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.

Tuan Haji Ishak bin Abu Bakar, Vice President of Association of Former MACC Officers, delivered a hard-hitting keynote that challenged participants to examine their professional conduct. Distinguished guests including Mr. Shuhaimi bin Man (Head of Integrity Unit, MARA) and Ps. Mohammad Izzat bin Mhd Noor (Deputy Head of Community Education Branch, MACC Selangor), joined the GMI community for the event.

The programme concluded with a powerful Corruption-Free Pledge, led by Ts. Fahrul Rizal bin A.Halim, Deputy Managing Director of Academic & Operations GMI, and witnessed by Ps. Mohammad Izzat bin Mhd Noor. This symbolic gesture reinforced GMI’s unwavering stance against corruption and its mission to maintain transparency as a leading higher education institution.
By integrating anti-corruption principles into its operational framework, GMI continues to fight against corruption.
