Kajang, 19 April 2023 – It was a proud moment for four (4) Diploma in Network Security programme students of GMI when they were awarded two Gold certificates (Danish Ieman and Wan Akmal), one Silver certificate (Raihan Atasha), and one Bronze certificate (Muhammad Aizat) in the first round of the APJC (Asia Pacific, Japan and China) NetAcad Riders Competition 2023 which was held 11 April 2023. They were applauded for their commitment and hard work.

The APJC NetAcad Riders competition is an interactive networking skills contest that is organized by Cisco. Participants in the competition are measured through a series of online examinations and simulation activities using the Cisco Packet Tracer and is open to students in a Cisco Networking Academy CCNA v7.0 course across Asia Pacific, Japan and China region.

In round one, the students competed through a series of online examinations related to the designing, installing, operating, and maintaining networks through Cisco whereby participants were then awarded based on the accuracy of their answers.
Gold certificates were for participants that scored among the Top 5%, Silver were among the Next 10%, and Bronze for the next 15%.
Unfortunately, GMI team is unable to proceed further as only the Top 3 scorers from each country were eligible to proceed to Round 2. Nevertheless, GMI is still proud of their success and achievement to still be able to compete internationally thus far. We look forward to more achievements and success stories made by our students of GMI in the coming future. Keep up the good work!
