Kajang, 13 October 2025 – The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) welcomed a delegation from Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS), marking a progressive step in strengthening technical education and vocational training (TVET) for Sarawakian youth. Led by Tuan Haji Udin bin Bujang, Chief Executive Officer of TEGAS, the delegation explored collaborative pathways to advance skills development and build a robust talent pipeline for Malaysia’s growing industries.
The visit featured a comprehensive tour of GMI’s Advanced Technology Centres. Delegates engaged directly with the institute’s industry-standard facilities, which form the core of its practical, technology-driven curriculum. The tour highlighted seven Advanced Technology Centres:
- Cyber Schlachtfeld (Cyber Battlefield Centre)
- Mini Cinema & 2D Design Lab
- Festo Certified Training Centre
- Hybrid and EV System Lab
- Smart Mini Factory Lab
- CNC DMG Mori
- Additiv Zentrum

This engagement underscores a powerful alliance committed to empowering Malaysian youth through technical excellence. GMI anticipates that future collaborations with TEGAS will significantly strengthen the national TVET ecosystem and create impactful opportunities for students across the nation.
