GMI Becomes an Official IELTS Test Centre

Starting January 2025, GMI officially launch its IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Test Centre, accredited by the British Council. This milestone reflects GMI’s commitment to academic excellence and preparing students for global careers. With the IELTS Test Centre, GMI is providing a vital service that will help students meet the English language requirements for study abroad or international employment opportunities.

FIFA-Standard Synthetic Football Pitch: A New Era for Sports at GMI

GMI will unveil its FIFA-standard synthetic football pitch in 2025, elevating the institute’s sports infrastructure. This state-of-the-art facility will meet international standards for football and also feature mini soccer court, golf stimulator, archery range, running track, as well as 18 putting holes and a bunker. These upgrades, scheduled for completion by May 2025, will offer students world-class facilities to nurture their sporting talents.

IoT of Fruits: Promoting Sustainability 

As part of its commitment to sustainability and the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda, GMI has launched the IoT of Fruits initiative, marking a significant step in the integration of technology with agriculture at GMI. The first phase will yield 300 rock melon trees, offering hands-on experience in smart farming and advancing sustainability through technological integration.

Partnership with VfL Wolfsburg and FAS: Advancing Football Excellence in Malaysia

GMI is collaborating with VfL Wolfsburg, a top German football club, and the Selangor Football Association (FAS). This partnership aims to enhance the football skills of GMI’s football team and the FAS Women’s Junior Academy. With VfL Wolfsburg’s expert training techniques and access to GMI’s world-class sports facilities, this initiative will take football to the next level in Malaysia, particularly women’s football. By leveraging the expertise of one of Germany’s leading football clubs, GMI is playing a key role in shaping the future of football development in Malaysia.

Degree Programmes in September 2025: A New Chapter of Education Excellence

In September 2025, GMI will launch its highly anticipated Degree Programmes in engineering and computer science. These programmes feature industry-driven curricula, hands-on learning, and global partnerships, preparing students to excel in their careers. With state-of-the-art facilities and strong industry connections, GMI ensures that graduates are equipped with the skills needed to meet the demands of the evolving global workforce.

    – This contest is open to secondary school students born between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2009.
    – Participants must follow at least one of the official social media accounts of the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) to be eligible (Facebook, Instagram or Tiktok).
  2. Contest Participation
    – To enter the contest, participants must complete the quiz and submit their answers as instructed.
    – Participants are encouraged to create a unique and creative tagline related to GMI to increase their chances of winning.
  3. Agreement to Terms
    – By entering the contest, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
    – Participants must ensure that their submissions comply with all guidelines provided.
  4. Prizes
    – Details of the prizes will be announced at the start of the contest.
    – Winners will be selected based on the accuracy of their quiz answers and creativity of their tagline.
  5. Selection of Winners
    – Winners will be notified through the social media platform where they entered the contest.
    – The decision of the contest organizers is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. Privacy
    – Personal information collected during the contest will be used for the purpose of this contest and promotional activities and will be kept confidential.
  7. Liability
    The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms and conditions or engages in any fraudulent activity.
  8. Modification of Terms
    The organizers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes through the official GMI social media accounts.
  9. Acceptance
    By participating in the contest, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
