Jasin, 28 February 2025 – The ground-breaking ceremony for the German Technology Park (GTP) was held at Bandar Hijau, Jasin, Melaka. The event was officiated by YAB Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf bin Yusoh, the Chief Minister of Melaka. Tuan Haji Ahmad Solihin bin Mohamed Yusoff, CEO of GMI, alongside the representatives from GMI also attended the ceremony.
GMI’s Role in Shaping the Future
The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) is proud to be appointed by the Melaka State Government, through Melaka Corporation, as the sole training provider for all German industries operating within the GTP. GMI will play a crucial role in equipping the local workforce with the skills and knowledge needed to support these industries, ensuring the success of the GTP and its contribution to Melaka’s economic transformation.


A New Era for Melaka’s Industrial Growth
The GTP represents a significant investment in Melaka’s industrial and economic future. The state government has allocated an estimated RM227.8 million for the development of the 418.63-acre site. Once completed, the GTP will host 20 to 30 investment companies, driving sustainable economic growth and creating new opportunities for the region.
