Kajang, 27 July 2026 – A delegation from Malaysia Industry Transformation (MIT) Technologies Sdn. Bhd., led by Ms. Zaliza Zainuddin, visited German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) to explore a robust new partnership in advanced manufacturing and digital innovation.
Discussions centred on strategic collaborations spanning industrial automation, smart technologies, and engineering R&D. Both parties explored concrete pathways for industrial internships, graduate employability initiatives, industry-sponsored Final Year Projects (FYP), technology transfer, and consultancy services. GMI further proposed customised upskilling and reskilling interventions via its Short-Term Courses (STC) to ensure workforce agility aligns with rapid technological shifts.
The delegation toured GMI’s Advanced Technology Centres, including the ZEISS Advanced Metrology Centre, DMG MORI Lab, Advanced CNC Technology Centre, Additiv Zentrum, and Bosch Rexroth Smart Mini Factory. These facilities unequivocally demonstrate GMI’s fully integrated, industry-driven training ecosystem and its capacity to deliver world-class technical education.
GMI eagerly looks forward to cultivating a long-term strategic alliance with MIT Technologies. This partnership promises to drive industrial innovation, strengthen engineering curricula, and develop the future-ready talent pool essential for Malaysia’s national transformation goals.
