A strategic collaboration between the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) and the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Bandar Baru Bangi has resulted in an innovative firefighting solution: the “Fire Fog Nozzle.” Four final-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology students designed and developed this high-efficiency apparatus as a capstone project.
Under the supervision of Mr. Zairul Nazim bin Mohd Shah, the final year Diploma in Engineering Technology (CNC Precision) students created a nozzle that deploys a fine water mist to accelerate fire suppression dramatically. The robust design incorporates a high-pressure resistant torchlight and emphasises user-friendly operation.
