Kajang, 13 October 2025 – The German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) and Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) have officially launched a new collaborative Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Technology with Honours (BELT) programme. The successful registration and briefing session for the inaugural intake, held at the GMI campus, marks a significant step in delivering industry-ready engineering education.
The event highlighted the strategic partnership between the two institutions. GMI, led by Ts. Fahrul Rizal bin A. Halim, Deputy Managing Director (Academic & Operations), welcomed key representatives from UTeM, including:
- Dr. Mohd Ruzaini bin Hashim, Deputy Director of UTeM ACCESS
- Ts. Dr. Suziana binti Ahmad, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology (FTKE), UTeM
- Ms. Nor Aliza binti Ibrahim, Deputy Registrar of the Student & Alumni Affairs Office (HEPA), UTeM

This collaboration is designed to cultivate a highly skilled, competent, and globally competitive engineering workforce. The BELT programme combines theoretical rigour with practical, hands-on experience to address industry demands directly.
