Kajang, 23 April 2025 – A significant milestone was achieved with the inauguration of the new Internet of Things (IoT) Laboratory at the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI), marking a transformative leap in academic-industry collaboration for IoT education and applied technology. This advanced facility reflects GMI’s shared commitment to bridging the gap between classroom theory and industry practice through hands-on training.
Industry-Certified Training Programme
In October 2024, twelve dedicated Technical Training Officers (TTOs) from GMI successfully completed the rigorous Keysight IoT Applied Courseware Training, earning certification in the Keysight IoT Design and Validation Industry-Ready Student Certification Program. These certified TTOs now deliver industry-relevant training to students.
This achievement not only strengthens our curriculum but also significantly boosts graduate employability. Through this industry-led programme, we ensure students gain real-world competencies that can be immediately applied in their careers.
