Kajang, 15 April 2026 – A delegation from Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn Bhd, led by Managing Director, Mr Loh Heng Choy, visited the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) to discussed core three pillars: creating quality employment and internship pathways for students, upskilling and reskilling professionals to meet industry’s rapid evolution, and launching joint research efforts to fuel new product innovation.
During the facility tour, the delegation experienced GMI’s hands-on learning environment first-hand, including:
- Hybrid & EV Systems Lab
- Vehicle Engine & Diagnostic Lab
- KUKA Industrial Training Robot Centre
- OMRON Certified Training Centre
- CNC DMG MORI Centre
- Additiv Zentrum (3D Printing Centre)
These facilities demonstrate GMI’s capacity to deliver industry-aligned training and prepare our students to be industry-ready graduates. At GMI, we believe that this visit will forge strong industry links and build a future-ready, highly-skilled talent pool for Malaysia’s automotive and manufacturing sectors.
