On October 1, 2024, a group of enthusiastic students and staff from Chomthong School in Thailand embarked on an enriching educational journey to the GMI. This visit aimed to deepen their understanding of technical education in a global context, offering invaluable insights into the dynamic fields of engineering and technology; essential for thriving in today’s competitive job market.
Discovering GMI’s Innovative Facilities
The day commenced with a guided tour of the Mechanical Engineering Department (MED). Participants explored various mechanical engineering programmes and witnessed hands-on demonstrations at the MED Gallery. It is to highlight the practical training methods that are integral to our curriculum. Following this, the group delved into the Electrical Engineering and Computer Information Departments. They experienced firsthand the innovative environments of GMI’s Multimedia Animation Studio, Pneumatic lab and Cyber Security Lab. This segment emphasised GMI’s commitment to teaching the latest technologies and industry-relevant skills, ensuring that our graduates are well-equipped to thrive in their careers.
The visit continued with an informative session presented by GMI’s Marketing Unit. Participants learned about the diverse range of programmes offered at GMI, along with the institute’s successful partnerships and achievements.
