Kajang, 11 March 2025 – A delegation from the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, led by Mr. Rozihan Anwar bin Mamat, Head of the Training and Planning Section at the Headquarters in Putrajaya, visited GMI to explore advanced technology and training programmes. The visit highlighted GMI’s role in driving innovation and addressing the nation’s evolving technical and safety needs.
The delegation toured three of GMI’s advanced technology centers:
- The Additiv Zentrum, showcasing the latest in additive manufacturing.
- The Cyber Schlachtfeld, a hub for cybersecurity training and innovation.
The Hybrid and EV System Lab, focused on electric vehicle (EV) technology and systems.

Joining Mr. Rozihan were:
- Mr. Aswadi bin Haji Ismail, Commander of the Northern Region ABPM
- Ms. Jesica Anak Sylvester Embuas, Commander of the Sarawak Region ABPM
- Mr. Syaiful Azri bin Ismail, Head of the Training Management Branch, Training Division, Headquarters
- Mr. Mohd Shamirul bin Sulaiman, Officer of the Research and Training Development Branch, Training Division, Headquarters
- Mr. Noorzawahir bin Busu, Officer of the Research and Training Development Branch, Training Division, Headquarters
- Mr. Mohammad Syafiq bin Abdul Majid, Officer of the Northern Region ABPM
They engaged in productive discussions with GMI on reskilling and upskilling programmes, particularly in EV systems and first responder training. These initiatives aim to equip fire and rescue personnel with advanced skills to tackle modern challenges.

GMI takes pride in offering reskilling and upskilling programmes that benefit the nation. By focusing on advanced technologies, including EV safety, GMI is prepared to collaborate with the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia to enhance training and preparedness for future challenges.
