Kajang, 23 January 2025 – GMI was pleased to welcome a distinguished delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, including Mr. Kim Sangbum; Second Secretary, Ms. Lee Hyujoo; Third Secretary, and Mr. Choi Ji Hoon, Director of the Korean Education Centre in Malaysia.
The visit provided the delegates with an opportunity to explore GMI’s advanced technology centres, starting with the Autotronics Lab, where they observed how GMI provided its students with the real-world automotive technologies. At the Cyber Schlachtfeld, the delegation witnessed live global cyber threats, highlighting GMI’s commitment to advanced cybersecurity education. In the Additive Zentrum, the delegates experienced GMI’s state-of-the-art 3D printing technology, demonstrating the institute’s leadership in advanced manufacturing.
Tuan Haji Ahmad Solihin bin Mohammed Yusoff, CEO of GMI, warmly welcomed the delegates and provided an informative briefing on GMI’s initiatives. He highlighted potential future collaborations with the Korean Education Centre and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Malaysia to enhance educational exchange and foster organizational growth for both parties.

The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the project showcase by 24 students from Busan Automotive High School (BAHS), who are currently participating in the Effective English Communication Skills Workshop via Project-Based Learning at GMI from 13 to 26 January 2025.
This visit marks a significant step in strengthening the ties between GMI, the Embassy of Republic of Korea, and the Korean Education Centre, paving the way for future educational and technological collaborations.
