Kajang, 29 September 2025 – GMI welcomed distinguished councillors from the Ipoh City Council, YBhg. Clr. Muhammad Hamzah bin Dato’ Haji Md Hamdan and YBhg. Clr. Faidz bin Ismail. The visit strengthens a strategic collaboration to advance Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and create outstanding opportunities for students in Perak.

During the tour, the delegation experienced GMI’s industry-standard facilities, which support the institute’s commitment to developing highly talent. Key centres visited included:
- Additiv Zentrum (3D Printing Centre)
- FESTO Certified Training Centre
- Hybrid & EV System lab
- Cyber Schlachtfeld (Cyber Battlefield Centre)
- Mini Cinema & 2D Design Lab
