Kajang, 16 February 2026 – In a significant move to advance technical education, the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) welcomed a high-level delegation from the Pahang State Government. The visit aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands by expanding Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) pathways for students in the region.

Also present were Puan Zalina binti Zulkifly, Chief Assistant Senior Director from the Pahang State Education Department (JPN), alongside other representatives from JPN and Pahang educational institutions.

The visit centred on strategic discussions to strengthen Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and TVET collaborations. GMI and the Pahang delegation reaffirmed their shared commitment to developing industry-ready graduates and expanding access and opportunities for students from Pahang to remain competitive in industrial technology and advanced manufacturing sectors.
To showcase the institute’s cutting-edge capabilities, GMI hosted the delegation on an extensive tour to several of its 22 Advanced Technology Centres, which include:
- Cyber Schlachtfeld (Cyber Battlefield Centre)
