The team from the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI), accompanied by representatives from nine Malaysian universities, including Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Asia Pacific University (APU), Management Science University (MSU), Malaysian Maritime Academy (ALAM), MAHSA University, UCSI University, and Le Cordon Bleu Malaysia, had the privilege of visiting Kasetsart University International College (KUIC) in Bangkok and Prince of Songkla University (PSU) in Songkhla, Thailand.
During this visit, discussions regarding bilateral cooperation were conducted with both institutions. The aim of these discussions was to identify opportunities for collaboration in areas such as joint research, innovation, publications, and conferences. GMI also proposed potential participation in short-term courses and student and staff exchange programs.
Possible collaborative fields include Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, IoT in Modern Agriculture, Computer Information and more.
The delegation was received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanwipa Vongsangnak, Dean of Kasetsart KUIC, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muttanachai Suttipun, Deputy Director for Humanities and Social Sciences at PSU, along with their respective teams.
It is hoped that this initiative will come to fruition in the future, yielding benefits for both parties, particularly in the realm of higher education in Malaysia.
